No you don’t. Rahan, the Beneteau First 36 TP by Seascape that has just finished first in the Pac Cup is not to be confused with First 36.7, a mistake that I imagine a lot of people make. This modern twin rudder, Sam Manuard design is a good boat, made even better with the TP/Seascape mods.
Striped of a lot of weight, optimized for races like this with better downwind sail plan and sails, this double handed entry benefitted from the better breeze of the early start, but they did an excellent job getting, and staying in front. Your 36.7 would still be 200 miles out. Jus’ sayin’
