I beleive they’ve only made just under 10 of them, but I am suddenly seeing a couple of them on the used market. I think they are nice looking – if not a bit bulky, and they have to be pleasant to sail, right? Below they are cool and a bit funky and perhaps too funky for US Swan buyers? Who knows?
I just don’t recall reading and seeing results testifying to it’s racing abilities (Say, compared to the XR 41, which came out about the same time, and is a known rocket ship). The keel on the boat is a bit odd, and one hears of some sort of mod?
Regardless, they ain’t cheap, and if they ain’t fast, well… Jump in with any thoughts or experiences you have either on one, or racing against one.
